Psychological and Neuropsychological Evaluations

The Evaluation Process

The evaluation process begins with an initial consultation lasting 90 minutes to 2 hours, during which I meet with caregivers to discuss your child's history, strengths, areas of difference, and your goals for the assessment. I also provide guidance on how to prepare your child for the assessment process.

Following this, I conduct school and naturalistic observations in a discreet manner to gain insight into your child's natural behavior and interactions within their everyday environment.

The next phase involves two days of comprehensive testing, utilizing evidence-based tools tailored to your child's unique needs. This includes direct interaction with your child, standardized assessment measures, and gathering input from key individuals such as teachers, therapists, and caregivers.

Approximately 1–2 weeks after testing, we meet for a 90-minute feedback session to review the assessment report together. During this meeting, I will walk you through the findings, provide a clear roadmap for next steps, and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Throughout this process, my priority is to support you and your family every step of the way!

Areas of Evaluation

Autism Evaluations
I specialize in identifying Autism Spectrum Disorder across all ages, with particular expertise in high-functioning girls and children who may present with more subtle traits. My approach is neuroaffirming, recognizing and celebrating the strengths of autistic individuals while offering strategies to support challenges.

PDA Profile Understanding
Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is a profile within the autism spectrum that involves high anxiety and an extreme need for control. I provide in-depth assessments to help families and educators better understand this profile and create supportive, collaborative environments.

ADHD Evaluations
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder can impact focus, organization, and self-regulation. My evaluations look at how ADHD presents in your child’s daily life, and I offer strategies for improving executive functioning and attention while reducing stress for the whole family.

Learning Disorders

  • Dysgraphia (writing challenges)

  • Dyslexia (reading challenges)

  • Dyscalculia (math challenges)

I identify learning differences through targeted testing so you can better advocate for the right school supports, tutoring approaches, and accommodations.

Gifted Testing
Gifted learners often need enrichment and stimulation beyond the standard curriculum. My evaluations identify advanced cognitive abilities and help guide educational placement and programming.

Anxiety & Depression
Emotional well-being is key to learning and development. I assess for anxiety and depression in children and adolescents, providing insights into how these concerns affect school, relationships, and self-esteem, along with tailored recommendations for support.

Developmental Delays
If your child is not meeting expected milestones, a developmental evaluation can clarify the nature of the delay and connect you to the right early interventions.
