Psychological and Neuropsychological Evaluations

What to Expect During Your Child’s Evaluation

1. Initial Consultation

The evaluation process begins with a 90–120 minute consultation with caregivers. During this meeting, we discuss your child’s history, strengths, areas of difference, and goals for the assessment. You’ll also receive guidance on how to prepare your child for the testing process

2. Observations

I spend time observing your child in natural settings like school or home, so I can see how they interact and learn in their everyday world.

Over two days, we use trusted, research-based tools designed specifically for your child. This includes one-on-one activities, standardized measures, and valuable input from teachers, therapists, and caregivers. Our goal is to create a full picture of your child’s strengths, challenges, and unique learning style.

3. Comprehensive Testing

4. Feedback Session

Approximately 1–2 weeks after testing, we meet for a 90-minute feedback session. I review the report with you, explain the findings, outline next steps, and answer your questions.

5. Ongoing Support

Throughout the entire process, my priority is to support you and your family, ensuring you feel informed, guided, and cared for every step of the way.

Areas of Evaluation

Autism Evaluations
I specialize in identifying Autism Spectrum Disorder across all ages, with particular expertise in high-functioning girls and children who may present with more subtle traits. My approach is neuroaffirming, recognizing and celebrating the strengths of autistic individuals while offering strategies to support challenges.

PDA Profile Understanding
Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is a profile within the autism spectrum that involves high anxiety and an extreme need for control. I provide in-depth assessments to help families and educators better understand this profile and create supportive, collaborative environments.

ADHD Evaluations
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder can impact focus, organization, and self-regulation. My evaluations look at how ADHD presents in your child’s daily life, and I offer strategies for improving executive functioning and attention while reducing stress for the whole family.

Learning Disorders

  • Dysgraphia (writing challenges)

  • Dyslexia (reading challenges)

  • Dyscalculia (math challenges)

I identify learning differences through targeted testing so you can better advocate for the right school supports, tutoring approaches, and accommodations.

Gifted Testing
Gifted learners often need enrichment and stimulation beyond the standard curriculum. My evaluations identify advanced cognitive abilities and help guide educational placement and programming.

Anxiety & Depression
Emotional well-being is key to learning and development. I assess for anxiety and depression in children and adolescents, providing insights into how these concerns affect school, relationships, and self-esteem, along with tailored recommendations for support.

Developmental Delays
If your child is not meeting expected milestones, a developmental evaluation can clarify the nature of the delay and connect you to the right early interventions.

Your child deserves to be understood.

I’ll take the time to learn their story so the evaluation reflects who they really are.

Personalized Approach: Every evaluation is tailored to your child, never a one-size-fits-all process.
Neuroaffirming Perspective: I highlight strengths as well as challenges, helping children feel understood and valued.
Practical Next Steps: I provide actionable strategies that can be implemented right away.
Collaboration with Schools & Providers: I work closely with your child’s team to ensure consistent support across settings.

If you’ve been searching for answers about your child’s learning, behavior, or development, a psychological or neuropsychological evaluation is the first step toward clarity and a plan forward.
